Burial Containers

The primary purpose of a Burial Container is to prohibit the settling of graves and for the protection of the casket from maintenance equipment.

Concrete Liner

A concrete grave liner that has less ornamentation than a vault and is used solely to protect the casket from the weight of heavy cemetery maintenance equipment. The bottom of the vault is open to the ground therefore the casket lays on the ground. In cemeteries that require an outer burial container, a concrete grave liner satisfies this requirement.

Concrete Box

A concrete box has less ornamentation than a vault and is used solely to protect the casket from the weight of heavy cemetery maintenance equipment. The casket is placed inside and a concrete lid is placed on top. This is not a gasketed or glued top.

Burial Vault

A burial vault is a lined outer receptacle that houses the casket or urn. Typically the lid of the vault is gasketed or glued. It offers further protection for the casket or urn from the weight of the earth and heavy maintenance equipment that will pass over the grave. It also helps resist water and preserves the beauty of the cemetery or memorial park by preventing the ground from settling. Some burial vaults are triple reinforced with materials such as ABS plastic, Concrete, and Steel.
