Regular burial spaces are normally 8 foot long by 4 foot wide.  In most cemeteries, the memorial sits at the top of the grave. Depth of interment is not 6 foot deep as most people expect. Depth is based on type of soil, and topography of land.

If a husband and wife are buried side by side, the wife is buried on the husband’s heart side. Burial spaces are priced based on overhead, cost of land and beautification of garden.  Naturally, the most beautiful spaces are the most desirable, the least available, and the most expensive.
